Coinciding with the announcement of PlayStation 4, a new Unreal Engine 4 tech demo video has been released. No talking, just lots of pretty things to soak in...
So what are they gonna use instead of PhysX now that the PS4 uses mostly off-the-shelf AMD parts?
Looks good, Elemental ++ as Mark Rein called it in an interview.
The original isn't all that hot though.
HOT MESS
What, on the CPU? It's hard to imagine that nVidia would supply them with a version that runs on AMD GPUs...PhysX.
Without an nVidia card turning the PhysX setting to high in just about any game makes the framerate take a total nosedive when everything runs on the CPU, so why should it be different here? The majority of PhysX's feature set runs on the CPU anyway. I don't really get your point?
