UE3 - UT3 Having trouble with elevators

Hello there, I am a student at Staffordshire University studying Game Design, I need some assistance. I'm trying to create a volcano crater with raised walls all around it, on each side is a raised platform that gives snipers a good view of the middle of the map, but not the other team's base. What I'm having difficulty with is creating an elevator going up to the raised platforms, I followed a tutorial in doing this but the elevator still isn't moving. Would anyone mind helping me out? I can post the file here if you need it.
