Yeah, I'm definitely getting this one once I'm back in the funds (bit hard with usual bills & now holiday stuff). And yes I still love the old school gameplay which is insane and way better than the boring realistic FPS games out there. It's how DNF should have been done instead of being a bland tech demo...

So I just got out of the great pyramid and I have to say it is pretty fun. There seems to be an issue mainly with AMD processors that causes the game to choke hardcore.

Just a couple but there are many more. There are a handful having issues that have i7's but it seems to be primarily an AMD issue. I have a quad core phenom II and the first level will dip into the 30's in the weirdest of spots. Turn 180 degrees to a more populated section and I get an instant 60 damn near. The game may be pretty, but it shouldn't perform this bad considering I have other titles that are much more demanding.

The guy in the 2nd link is ridiculous. He has a weak CPU that bottlenecks his GPU and 4GB RAM only, yet he wants to play SS3 with ULTRA settings and is complaining about the game being not optimized...

Oh and it is an old common secret that ATI(AMD) makes good cards but poor drivers.

Reading these posts reminds me of the black ops days.

Yeah except it is still playable :)

The dude in the second link may be a moron, but look further down and you will see people with higher grade phenom II's with the same problem. Unless someone on here states otherwise, I am going to say Croteam didn't optimize very well for AMD processors.

Also it may be just me, but the game still feels very jittery even when I get over 60fps.

Beat it on hard and just just started playing on Serious difficulty.

This is seriously difficult. Headless Kamikaze are raping my butt. They run faster than I can sprint away if things get hairy and the Gnarr are faster too.

If you experience the same I did try enabling mouse smoothing. Yes, I'm not kidding, try it.

If its already on or the effect is not strong enough reduce mouse speed.

Completed it this morning and now on level 5 on Serious difficulty. That final level is going to be a bitch in a half.

Tried that and it surprisingly made it less jittery.

No wonder why this game was so obscure. The only way to get the darn thing is through Steam. That's it. No hard copies, no Xbox Live download. Just Steam. Screw that.

Even if there are hard copies you'll still need Steam.
Too bad, missing on awesome stuff :)
