I just realized something. Anyone here played Battlezone? It's a 1998 FP/RTS game. There's a large alien aircraft called Fury. It has a beam-like main weapon which is very powerful, and it can quickly "jump" from one place to another.
Now this sounds very much like the Fury in UT3. Ok, I tend to find funny similarities but just think about it: same name, alien (Necris?) origins, weapon of same style, ability to do speed boosts. And it's made of special strain of Bio-metal while the UT fury uses Nanoblack for everything. Can this be just a coincidence?
