also you might want to use the infiltration server radar its usefull for finding populated servers

even if you are the last of your team and they still have four alive.
so i played tactical moving killed three then got kicked by this admin
{no name mentioned he he } cause he saw another defeat coming
{ we kicked their teams ass alot he he more then once 5-0 for us}

Hi DTAS lovers,
You noticed im no longer on Inf which have been my favorite game for years (specially dtas), as EGM i found in BF2 a good alternative, i regret the small community in here even if i wasn't popular, it was fun to play every weeks with same people
Sometimes i dream of bf2 clan with Inf players i knew, and what the use of our experience of infiltrations would bring Whatever i still have my Inf installed on drives, who knows ?

True, bf2 is different but i get fun on it, maybe i will try next weekend, if u guys , need a dedicated dtas server, i can provide it with the maps and mutators you want, up to 16 players, just ask

How come you're only suggesting it now ? Another server would definitely be welcome on weekends, since Inf Germany occasionally happens to be full. But bear in mind that your system specs should at least meet the standards of other current servers, otherwise i doubt people will play on it. What machine do you have and what is your bandwith like ? Do you have any experience in running servers ? If not, maybe you should try and ask some of the admins here for advice.

What i enjoyed in Inf Dtas was the need to work together for the same objectif, that what i compare with bf2.

Correct Ant, i cant provide a real dedicated server, it would run on a laptop P3 1.6 Ghertz, my connection bandwidth is 1024kb (~100Ko/s) for uploads and around 8 Mb for download, i ever provided a Trackmania server up to 20 people for 24 hours non stop with no problem but this game requires less bandwith, that why i said 16 UT players, but it needs test, so hardware could be a problem, if its for few hours i can move it on an xp2200+ with 1GB of ram. i have a little experience on running ut servers, but i may need help for mutates files, like for the one Duke f***ed with its cheat mode, is there a fix ? etc...

I know little (very little) (close to nothing) about servers and needed specs, but I have the feeling that your connection (and your comp in this case) could difficultly take an INF 2.9 16 player server (I remember the troubles we went through with the VeGA server and lag spikes). That said, I'm available if you need tests.
On another note, I'm all for some kind of BF2 clan/rally, I suck at it on a individual basis but could provide (and use) some teamwork.

) some teamwork.I think your upload speed would limit a server to 10, maybe 12 players max. That's still reasonable, so make it happen . DTAS does tend to use a lot of CPU power, so upgrading to that 2200+ might be a wise move if it is a problem. If you need a hand, feel free to ask (ICQ etc. should be in my profile).
On a similar note, I have a fairly decent spec server (also a laptop, 2.0GHz P4 with a broken screen) running near enough 24x7, but only a 512/256Kbps connection (good for 4 people at most). Would there be much demand for a newbie/training server?

im actually testing a server, check it, but i got a major problem: i get a kind of lag that i never seen with a cpu usage is under 2%, im almost sure its not a bandwidth problem nor hardware, could you test it plz ?
