A new tactical shooter possibly in development

Christian Allen, a veteran game developer who worked on all sorts of Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon games (that includes the oldschool and new ones) formed his own company and now intends to get funding through Kickstarter.

Basically it is supposed to be a sort of a R6-ish CQB game for PC and oldschool hardcore all the way.

I just stumble across the same project on kickstarter and immediately wondered if enough of us bought into the game, we can influence gameplay in a certain direction we as INF players want. The problem here if this does not get funded, it very well could just mean the end of commercial hardcore shooters. At the current rate it is going, if we are all hesitant to chip in, we may never get the game.

Doesn't look good. The worst thing is actually the representer, he seems very amateur on the public relation side of things and later stated that the kickstarter is supposed to get his company going while he hopes for some company funding to actually develope the actual game. That made many people very sceptical. I'd call the whole affair quite a disaster, because it happens before the public eye and publishers will see themselves to be proven right that nobody wants true tactical games, while the problem lies within the approach of that particular guy. Shame really.

I still have faith in Ground Branch.

Wow, the trailer looks good. I like the concept. I hope they will really go for a truly old school tactical military simulator this time.
