WTF happened to this thread?
well, see, BuF, BuF happened. again.
It had been a while.
WTF happened to this thread?
Keep grasping at straws, strawman.
Crotale misunderstood -Jes- and lost his mind, issuing personal attacks and baiting -Jes- into doing the same.
Any other questions?
Not until I get my money!!!!!!@Did a BUF argument really just stoop to the level of "I know you are, but what am I"?
Next up..."my dad can beat up your dad!"
I think we're done with this thread.
Pot to kettle.
See:
it makes little sense to me that gays and their supporters would go into such a vicious attack mode against Eich all because he contributed to a policy that a simple majority of Californians voted in favor of.
Since Eich took no direct action against gays
Mozilla's business is broad-based (does not target directly on one social or political demographic) which means there was no professional or business-related reason for ousting the man.
Not until I get my money!!!!!!@
It honestly surprises you that gay people would be upset at a person donating to the side that opposes them? Suppose I donated to Proposition 1337, which restricts all Crotales from posting on BuF. (This is a real proposition and I humbly submit it before you all. Donations accepted.) Should I be surprised when this does not engender your love and admiration?
What does that even mean? How is contributing to Prop 8 “no direct action against gays”? Are we having the same conversation, or are you just typing random words now?
This might be strictly factual but distorts the truth. Their products are reflections of a distinct philosophy. They advocate for Internet freedom. They champion the cause of open source. Mozilla is a political organization as much as a software company. They don’t make just any software. It’s social equality software.
Edit: And a boycott costs them money, so there’s that too, if you prefer to take the stone-hearted capitalist approach. I bet you do!
Mitchell Baker said:Baker said Mozilla believes in equality for everyone, and noted the company did not respond fast enough to the controversy surrounding Eich's personal beliefs.
"Our organizational culture reflects diversity and inclusiveness," Baker wrote. "We welcome contributions from everyone regardless of age, culture, ethnicity, gender, gender-identity, language, race, sexual orientation, geographical location and religious views. Mozilla supports equality for all.
"We have employees with a wide diversity of views. Our culture of openness extends to encouraging staff and community to share their beliefs and opinions in public. This is meant to distinguish Mozilla from most organizations and hold us to a higher standard. But this time we failed to listen, to engage, and to be guided by our community."
