She will win for sure! Then I can have these awesome discussions here with all of you radical left wing liberal tree hugging democrats! Ohhhhhhh what fun and it has been such a long wait too!

(Preview)

I was shocked to hear about how many of you had a rough year last year in another post here. Why? It sounds like everybody is getting divorced and moving out and can't find jobs and all. Damn that last President from back in 2008! This is all still his fault right?

How is that Obama Care treating you by the way? I'm doing great. I just got out of the hospital recently due to a bout with pneumonia but my medical insurance which provided by and paid for in full by my employer is awesome! Yeah! My insurance is free. It is like how people think Obama care will be! FREE!

Go Hillary!

Wait! She is for legalizing weed too right? I'm pretty sure she'll certainly be a favorite among dems if she supports it. BTW, I'm going to Colorado for my vacation this year!

Ok... OK. You got me. I'm just fooling with you. I don't mean any of what I said. Especially the part about going to Colorado for vacation. It is true though about my insurance but I will still have to pay the bill when it gets here. i'm thinking it will be around $3000.00 and I can't imagine had I not had insurance.

So what's up peeps? How's it going? What's new? See any movies lately? How about that NFL!

Sorry. Most Republicans...

;)

And I realize I shouldn't lump people into one group, but that doesn't stop most Republicans from lumping me into the Communist-Marxist-Socialist category for being a Liberal.

No, no, no, you're doing it wrong, Al. The question is, "Do you think of yourself as a Communist-Marxist-Socialist?"

The test is here:

Which do you believe to be true?

A) People should be allowed to keep more of what they earn.
B) People should be taxed more to assist others.

If you choose option A, then you are a Nazi bastid.
If you choose option B, then you are a Pinko bitch.

I am glad we got that worked out.

somewhere; sometime?
also I'm pretty sure that Hillary would lose to Elizabeth Warren (assuming they both run) because people see Warren as independent and they see Hillary as too much an embodiment of her husband. and we all know how much they hate Slick Willy. the toxic, vile nature of our current political landscape can be traced almost directly to the Newt Gingrich playbook which was drawn up in response to Bill Clinton's overbearing popularity in the 90's. the GOP knew then that the walls were closing in; they might be out of touch but they're not blind or dumb. they know that they've lost every single significant battle on social issues in the last 40 years. and they know that they're not willing to even BUDGE on those issues, so without creating a larger tent of their own they need to try and simply squash the Democrats tent (which will never work, but it's lovely watching them try).

short of scaring people into dolling out protection money, the Conservative Right in this country has nothing left to sell. they can sell war I guess, but the people are getting awfully fed up with war. their only hope - as is painfully evident from the vast majority of their campaign behavior - is to try and paint the Left as 'scary' and/or 'different' and/or unpatriotic and/or weak on terror and/or atheist sinners and/or some other terrifying label that is undoubtedly 'ruining' the country.

this only has a handful of outcomes.
- GOP leadership takes bold action to right the ship and cast out the extreme assholes weighing anchor
- GOP cedes leadership power to Tea Party leadership and ceases to exist; Tea Party essentially replaces Republicans as major Right party
- GOP does serious soul searching and brings its stance on social issues up to par with the 21st century, thus renewing their base with a young, viable voting block for the future

either way, good luck.
you'll fuckin' need it....

I hope they do 1 and 3, but I somehow see them doing 2.

Do you refer to Baltons thread? Yes, a lot of friends of mine had a rough time in the last year but they live in the States AND IN EUROPE. Certainly the US president's fault then. Oh, and yes relationship problems are generally the president's fault.

As Obama would say: "Let me be clear":

I don't think the Republicans will ever win the Office of the Presidency again. Not ever!

I think the voting, lazy, pathetic majority has outnumbered the voting working class. I think this country is doomed now because of it. That doesn't mean I should not bash the progressive liberals for multiplying faster than conservative republicans. I'll still be working and paying for this big mess!

@Jacks: It is never too early to talk politics. NEVER!

The country is doomed because its citizens are allowed to vote! Woe to America!

What's doomed are Republicans and their shitty, extremist, racist, bigoted, hate-filled, favor-the-rich, destroy-the-poor, obstructionist, warmongering, fuck-the-planet policies (and now with a fresh hint of corruption... thanks Gov. Christie). Ordinary middle and lower-class Americans are tired of it. That's why Republicans have been losing (and will continue to) for quite some time. Middle and lower-class Americans who still vote Republican only do so because of religion or hatred of non-straight/white people. If you're middle/lower class and don't hate your fellow citizens because they live or look differently than you do, Republicans' policies are not going to help you. Ever (unless you start making 7 figures). As a Christian Democrat/Liberal (shocking, eh?), I believe the people who enact those policies are the true anti-Christs. The so-called wolves in sheeps' clothing. The false prophets that preach in Christ's name, but do the work of the devil.

Here's to hoping the current Teapublican party either goes back to the party of Lincoln or goes the way of the dinosaur (you guys still don't believe in dinosaurs, right?).
