New OpenGL Renderer for Unreal Gold

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. Heh, oops, I should pay more attention to what forum I'm in :p

Open your Unreal\System\Unreal.ini file (don't know if the INI was renamed in Unreal Gold), look for the section labeled [Engine.Engine], and look for the line that starts with GameRenderDevice (probably the first one in that section). Change that line so that it reads

GameRenderDevice=OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice

to select the OpenGL driver.

I've been using the renderer for awhile now, and no probs with 226f connecting to any Unreal server (9800 Pro).

edit: Still have the mask bug tho. Have a txt file to fix, so no big deal.
