PS: There could always be maps with and without vehicles, and with map vote, you aren't giving up vanilla CTF for good. CTF-V really IS better.

IMO thats not the rocket pipe at all. Looks more like a guide rail for something to do with recoil.
Also there appears to be something at the end of that 'pipe' so I doubt any rockets would travel down there + AVRiL rockets are fairly large projectiles and that pipe looks too small. To me it looks like what ever comes out of this weapon, would come out of the gun, in the center too (like on any normal gun) specially as the whole thing is so large.
Could well be a form of AVRiL IMHO.

no no its a swoop bike for sure  . I myself would find it really cool if the hoverboard would be some kind of bike.

possibly, however the text alongside speaks of the hoverboard, which could mean its just a beautifull gun, for the hoverboard...i hope not

Don't think so :) - as if you actually read the text that is along side...:
One of our favourite notion of a personal hoverboard for Onslaught mode. Carried as a default item, it would be a nimble, Back to the future-esque affair, enabling you to zoom around the map far quicker than walking.
The disadvantage is that you can't shoot while in motion,...

I like the reference to Snow Crash, not the most well known SF books out there, but definitely one of the better. In that book, the main character used a hoover + grapple hook as help to deliver pizza (!?), something that eventually got him into trouble.

My suggestion would be that hoover dont move at all unless hooked to a vehicles, and that you can use weapons from it. Seems more fun and team oriented.

That won't work when someone's stuck by themself on the wrong side of a map. Not having their own propulsion would be good imo, so you'd have to dodge off into using it to start it off, or drop down and activate it - which sounds ideal to me.

I'm not convinced by that diagram, it's a massive gun and you think that tiny bit on the side is the scope?, why have ten tons of steel mounted on top of that thing?

In the centre there is a huge section that seems the right shape to store large cannisters of flak or possibly rockets. (Though i think it's niether) It could be the grenade launcher but i would've imagined a more rotary device in a similar vein to the rocket launcher for loading the grenades.

With that scope i'd image a computer display aswell, not standard zoomy sniper technology.(it's more Redeemer like to me i think, though it doesn't look like the redeemer at all.) I doubt it'd be a grapple hook either, it looks massive.

That said though the perspective on that screenshot looks really obscure to me for some reason.

It all sounds pretty cool. I notice in there it mentioned deployable weapons. Sounds like we're going to get some version of the WOE sentinal mod. My favourite.
But it looks like custom skins are going to get harder to make for models. I hope it comes with a good tutorial in bit-mapping.
