You have to have one with VIVO (Video in Video out) or else it won't work. Also you have to hava somewhere for the audio too unless you want those in your tv anyways...

could something like Dazzel work??
Were it uses video cables and goes to a USB port to digitly record vhs tapes from camcorders, why couldn`t you just plug in the xbox to the Dazzel plugs instead of the camcorder?

If you want to use your monitor for your Xbox and want the cleanest graphics and the highest resolution, you'll need an upscan converter like this one. They are a bit expensive, but there are cheaper upscan converters out there. I believe they have some at Radio Shack that might be a little better on your wallet.

If you don't want to do that, you can use any card that has S-video or RGB input on it, like TV-tuner cards, or video cards with VIVO.

yah you don't have VIVO either time for an upgrade or shell out the cash for another option...
