Backup & restore tutorial for player data?

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Hi there,

I just recently switched from Windows Vista Business x64 to Windows 7 Professional x64 and thereby tried to retain my user data (mostly keyboard config, saved single player data + removal of the initial splash screens when starting UT3...). It seems I backed up the "Config" and "SaveData" folder (didn't find anything else on my backup HDD:rolleyes:), but except for that nothing. I tried to just copy it into the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame" folder, but I'm not sure if they belong there? :hmm: Am I just in the wrong folder? Or which additional steps for profile restoring do I need to apply?

I just now discovered the "MASGAU" program, bad luck I didn't luck for something like that before...
Now the question is how to restore the data in Win7 x64, in which I doubt that the paths have changed compared to Vista x64! :)

I'd of course love a detailed pictured tutorial for backing up & restoring (for future reference), if there's one somewhere already! :)
Thanks for your help in advance.

Kind regards.
