what do you use for your jump button?

W,A,S,D: movement
Space: jump
Left, Right Click: the usual
Middle Click: best weapon
Wheel: select weapon
Q: translocator
E: throw relic
Ctrl, Alt, Shift, CapsLock, Z, X, C, R: Various speech binders
Backspace: Suicide!
Home: behindview 1
End: behindview 0
Insert: adminlogin pwd | addbots 1 (I run a server too)
Delete: killall bot

Up arrow = Forward
Down arrow = Backpedal
Left arrow = Step Left
Right arrow = Step Right
Right Ctrl = Jump
Numpad 0 = Duck
End = Getweapon Translocator
Delete = WeaponGroup1 (Alias)
PageDown = WeaponGroup2 (Alias)
RightShift = X-Loc (Alias)
RightMouse = Alt Fire
LeftMouse = Primary Fire
Mousewheel = Weapon Select

Yup, that's what I use. Right hand on mouse:

Right click = primary fire
left click = secondary fire
centre click = best weapon
mouse scroller = next/previous weapon

I really can't walk with the damn arrow keys. It is just too narrow near my mouse and I have no buttons from jumping and crouching anymore. And also no buttons for taunts....
That's why I use these keys:

W=forward
A=left strafe
D=right strafe
S=backward
Q,E,F,C,X,Z=taunts

spacebar=jump
left ctrl=crouching
left mouse=primary fire
right mouse=secondary fire
middle mouse=scrolling weapons

my friends used the arrowkeys but now I told them to use W,A,S,D they use it now too and say it is better

-P down : Rocket launcher
-Insert : x-loc

-P up : shock rifle

I use my mouse with my left hand for aiming and firing, and joystick in my right hand for movement. The trigger on the joystick is jump.

C = Duck
Alt = Translocator

Semicolon = getweapon SniperRifle | getweapon WarheadLauncher

LeftMouse = Fire
RightMouse = AltFire
MouseWheelDown = switchweapon 2 | switchweapon 5 | switchweapon 7 (Enforcer, Pulse, Mini)
MouseWheelUp = switchweapon 6 | switchweapon 4 | switchweapon 9 (Ripper, Shock, RL)
MiddleMouse = switchweapon 3 | switchweapon 8 (Goo, Flak)

Try these...

My controls are like this....

E=Walk up
S=Strafe left
D=Walk back
F=Strafe right

Spacebar=Jump

\=Crouch

I chose this setting because with this setting I can make keybindings next to my ESDF,like Q=Incoming,W=Enemy Flagcarrier is here and A=I need some backup.....I like this...so.

But maybe u won't like it,well goodluck sorting your keys out...

up arrow = forward

keypad 1 = hammerjump alias

mouse1 = fire
mouse2 = alt fire
middle mouse = weapon alias (sniper/shock)
scroll down = weapon alias (RL/flak/goo)
scroll up = weapon lias(mini/pulse/ripper/ enforcer)

My basic controls......

Fire1:Left Mousebutton
Fire2:Right Mousebutton
Translocator:3rd Mousebutton (where you place y'r thumb)
Movement:Arrow Buttons
Looking around:Mouse
Weapon Change: Scrollwheel
3rd Person View: Right Control (very handy when being chased with flag in CTF)

As for what you asked about.......

As for jump: Enter
And Crouch: Shift

I dunno why, playing every shooter that way since Duke Nukem 3D.............

Am I the only one using the num pad for movement?
I find it very natural and have allways used it.
I use the 8,5,4,6 buttons for movement, enter is jump and Del crouch. The rest of the num pad are assigned to weapons.

EDSF = Movement
Space = jump
Mouse 1 = Primary
Mouse 2 = secondary
Mouse wheel roll = change weapons
Mouse Wheel click = X-loc

Am I the only one the uses MOUSEWHEEL CLICK for the XLOC?? It appears so. I love it!

i use mouse wheel click for x-loc too peregrine
left mouse primary
right mouse secondary
wheel scroll for weapon sellect
but when using x-loc i can just use 3-5 times then weapons come back up which will mess you up if ya know what i mean lol
