I was just looking at you picture and realized that your
7890A has one more drive bay than mine. I think mine may
be the 7890. Mine has been slightly mod'ed. :D

L-box.jpg

I measured both boxes. The 7890 is 3" taller, but the
Lian Li is about 6½" deeper.

Super Micro 7890: 26” X 16½ “ X 8¼ “
Lian Li PC70: 23” X 23” X 8¼ “

So, yours might be bigger (taller).

Did you do the case modding yourself? Looks cool, I need to make some mods and Id like to make the case black as well. How would I go about doing that?

Printer?
Lexmark Z52
Never had a paper loading problem. Only problem I have had is the color cartrige clogging if I don't use it often enough... no biggie. Also have a visioneer 8600 scanner and Altec Lansing 54.1 speakers. The sub works surprising well to be only 4" :eek:

Yeah Liz, more details on those volt meters. You can't show us a mod like that and leave us hanging. We want specs dammit! :)

That is cool liz... what functions do those meters have and the panel with the LEDs. Did you paint the Live Drive? Me droolz... tell me more please

Thanks!

From Top to bottom:

* Live Drive (painted.)
* Macpower DigitalDoc5 (painted)
* HP 52X CD-Rom (painted)
* USB HUb (painted)
* Blank
* Blank
* 12vdc and 5vdc PS voltage monitor gauges.

"The Macpower DigitalDoc5 is an all-singing, all-dancing,
all-bleeping thermal-monitoring eight-fan base station.
It sits in a 5.25 inch drive bay, and has rails on the
inside of its frame that let you mount a 3.5 inch drive
inside it, if you like. When something's amiss, it can
let you know with a rather piercing alarm beeper. Plus,
it does all sorts of complicated display things that may,
with luck, impress your friends."

It monitors Internal Temps and controls up to eight fans.
You can program it switch fans on & off at preset temps,
or sound alarms when temps are exceeded.

Very nessisary as I've got this Athlon (1) 700mhz clocked
at about 933mhz. :D

I went to pick up a 80mm fan from a local computer shop one day because I needed another and didn't feel like waiting for one to be shipped to me. The guy asked what I was doing and told me that if I had any more than 1 in front and 1 in back it would just disturb airflow. I laughed and told him to sell me a fan.

I have 7 fans in mine
2 in back (ps and just below)
1 in front (of course)
2 in a "Card Cooler" blowing over vidcard, gets CPU a little too
and of course on the CPU and vidcard

If you notice the vent in the side of my case, the CC is about half over it, half above so it gets air from directly outside the case. My next ones I'll make my own blowholes and stuff.

I might as well post a pic of my modded box (it's still not finished, but then it never is :hmm: ).

The HDD red LEDs are not lit and the laserbay is a lot brighter without the flash.

Look, there's a 3 1/2" drive bay free, what can I shove in there? :D

Some nice rigs out there. Here's mine:

ASUS CUSL2-C MotherBoard
800MHz P3
384 MB pc133 Memory
80GB Hard Drive (Two 40GB, striped)
Creative DVD-ROM
Plextor 16x CD-RW
Sound Blaster Live! Platinum /w Live! Drive
ELSA Gladiac GeForce2 Ultra
Altec Lansing Speakers and Woofer (not sure the size or anything, but it's sounds great and can go REALLY load without cracking)
18" Xenon Flat Panel (awesome monitor, it runs my two PCs and all my consoles
^_^.gif
, and it could run a TV and DVD player)

That's about it, oh, and I'm running W2k (with XP shortly overriding it). I'm thinking about getting one of those new 1.3 GHz P3s, what do you think?

Whats wrong with AMD?

AMD's cost less and are just as fast and even faster then higher clocked P4's

:cool:
