Working on the sky, getting fairly close to being done. Just doing some small detail work and a little experiment I'm wanting to see to fruition, but otherwise this level's done! Sky was lovingly crafted by Cr4zyB4st4rd after continuous harassment via steamchat.

@Cr4zyB4st4rd: DM-Cipe looks really good. Old-school deathmatchy goodness in a slick next-gen coating.:) If I played UT3 I would be all over that.

Here's a video of my remake of Security from Gears of War 2 for Killing Floor.

and here are some screenshots:

The name-giving Atlas figure:

The button-o-death that controls the laser:

and a last one because there's still room on the page...:

Thanks. If I played KF Id be all over that, looks great :)

Hi all, it's been a while since I posted something on the forums. I'm working on an UDK jungle environment for my portfolio right now, built completely by custom assets.

Lighting and atmosphere are still early WIP. Comments and critique are welcome. :)

Wrong forum. This is Unreal community and not Crysis community. Nah, ;ppls great. ;)

Ups, my fault. :D

For the final level I want to achieve a realistic look while trying to maintain an unique atmosphere. Right now I'm working on models and textures, that's why "Lighting and atmosphere are still early WIP" (and Crysis like). ;)

Remembering the performance of Epic's night and day map in UDK, I'm curios what framerate do you get on your map :p

Yep, that was way too heavy to render! :D

In my level I'm aiming at 40 fps average and till now I managed to keep fps even a little higher on my i7 920, HD 4890@1680x1050. Keep in mind that this must not really be playable.

The deal is to keep polycount very low on most plants (20 to 400 triangles for bushes, 600 to 4000 triangles for trees), while using LOD and cull distances to take out unnecessary detail in the distance. Material instances are also very useful (I only have 3 base materials in the level).

edit: some assets.

Impressionante Minifloppy, really nice looking vegetation!

The grey fog doesn't look quite right in my eyes, it seems too dark and unsaturated (especially in the second shot) to be suitable to daylight. It might be the textures but the current lighting gives a midday feeling with light yellow lighting, while that fog seems to come straight out of a Silent Hill game ;)

Grazie! :)

Yes, the fog was originally created for a much darker atmosphere, and it doesn't play nice with daylight. Right now I'm trying to go for a dusk setting to create some more contrast and add focus points for the viewer. I'll review the fog when I'll have the lighting right. ;)

Working on the trim for my old map that I'm finally finishing.

.cut.

Interesting idea for that trim. :) Looking forward to a fully lit version.

Below are some new screen of my jungle level, been playing with lighting/post process. Also I've decided to add some temple-like buildings. I'm quite happy of how this is turning out as it's the first time I model something like this from scratch.

Very nice mini. Stupid phone won't give me decent quality but still looks great.

@juggalo I tried a very similar thing before in early versions of war-flux its possible but so tedious to get it right especially if you have a lot of it. Saying that, if you do put the time in it can look awesome.
