UT 4.36 32-bit color problem

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Before I elaborate on my problem, here are my specs:
AMD Thunderbird 700mhz w/ Abit KT7(Via4in1 drivers)
Western Digital 8.4 Hd
Viper 770 Nonultra w/ Detonator 6.31 drivers
SBLive! w/ Liveware 3.0
Windows 98 SE Desktop 800x600
Unreal Tournament G.O.T.Y(includes bonus packs) v4.36

I had been experiencing clipping trouble in 16-bit while
close to the walls(weapons would penetrate them, looked
very strange) so I decided to search the web regarding
clipping UT problems. Apparently, most sites recommend
using 32-bit color. I switched my desktop to 32-bit color,
and then tried to switch color depth in UT to 32-bit color.
The screen blinked and came back to the menu asking if I wanted to keep the video setting. I noticed
that some letters were missing, the menu was slightly
garbled, and my mouse was no longer visible. While in
16-bit color, UT works fine but the clipping issues exist.

Does anybody have any idea how to fix this?
I really don't care about running in 32-bit color
as long as the clipping issues are resolved.

Thanks for any replies,
Shaun Pedicini.
