[Mutator]INF Ballistic Tweak

As promized it's out in times, still a lot to do tho...
Please read carefully the installation instructions found in the readme.

Main Features (from Readme text) :
----------------------------------
- Change of all weapon's internal, external and terminal ballistics.
- Decrease of weapon's rate of fire according to the UT's Hardcore Mode which is 10% faster.
- Even tho they're not... Suppressed firearms are now concidered as using subsonic ammunitions.
- Greatly lowered recoil, damage and penetration for supressed assault rifles, bullets velocities are set to subsonic.
- Change of wallmarks made by supressed rifles (they now print tiny holes like the ones of Five-seveN and P-90)
- Change of most projectile's effects on armors.
- Both UZIs share the same 32 rounds magazine.
- Same for MP5K and MP5A2.
- Removed Burst Fire mode from MP5A2.
- MP5/40, MP5K and G3A3 do not eject a round when doing tactical reloading (MP5K and G3 anims are a bit buggy).
- Fixed the bug where the M16A2 shows like an M203 is attached in the third person view when using Yurch's new40mm.
- The M2HB is one shot-kill weeeeeeee!
- ScopeKickMod set to 0 for all weapons (even M4A1).
- No More KickMultiplier.
- Armors protect from the 1st shot of PSG1, G3 and FAL.

Edit : Well, as said by Olethros you need UN HandGunFix and C7 Mutator to get IBT working, you can download them following the links above.
Concider this version of IBT as beta, a new version w/ problems solved and some other features found in IWE will follow in the incoming days (maybe 2 or 3).

None of these features are working for me so far (offline) - I even tried just running your mutator by itself.

Also, ever since I installed this mutator - my game plays in windowed mode, for some odd reason. Once I make it full-screen (yes - the 'fullscreen' is still active), it reverts back to windowed mode - whenever I launch the shooting range.

Yay...

Yay...

Your HD didn't crash? the CPU should burn too and the screen explodes killing your pet... That's what happen in 32% of the case when using this mutator.
I forgot to mention-it in the readme text.

Hey! Congrats on your release! I haven't tried it, but it sounds like you're trying to make shooting easier by removing the recoil. Scary! But probably more realistic. I do have one question though... Why this:

- Change of wallmarks made by supressed rifles (they now print tiny holes like the ones of Five-seveN and P-90)

Do suppressed bullets not make large holes in walls? Are they solid core, non-fragmenting needle-like bullets or something? I always thought they were just slower so they didn't break the sound barrier.

Thanks man, you know the 5.56 NATO is of the same diameter as 5.7 FN it produces big holes when impacting at a reasonably high velocity due to their energy... A supressed 5.56 has not that much energy, it can be compared to the energy of a .380 auto fired from a small pistol and thus will produce a small hole just slightly bigger than the bullet itself, as for FN 5.7 cartridge.
And oh... I didn't remove recoil! some guns are recoiling more, while others are kicking less.

Yes! Real Target will work with your mutator, but your's wont work well with RT...

RT uses a SpawnNotify class that checks if a INFc_BallisticProj class is spawned. If so, it will replace the INFc_BallisticProj with an RTProj. Some values are taken over from the original INFc_BallisiticProj (and that includs your IBT_BallisticProj btw) but most of the stuff is changed or used differently then what you expect.

Your weapon moditification should work with RT but not with IWE.

Nice work tweaking all those value. That is what I call painstaking work...

Are you talking about the incoming RT? If so... this is not a problem, when RT will be out, and if there's a problem, I'll see how to adapt my mutator.

Not to mention that IWE is a bit more than slightly obsolete now this is released :). Good list of features... I was cautious about removing the scoped rifles' ScopeKickMod because of balance issues. I tried to modify the zoom and viewable area but one certain weapon was refusing to have any of it... hence no IWE2. If you want it I'll throw you the source code so you can take a look and (hopefully) fix if needed and integrate some of the features.

i tried the ballistic tweak it has not worked, maybe thats my config

edit : if you can add the g36 modified view like you did for famas... that 'll rock. maybe seperate muttie.
i know it would take you only a few minutes!!!!!! do it! (g36 is banned from ALL the servers now).


nevermind about the scope, i just read that conglomera mutie fix it

(UN) Ballistic Test Lab - IBT Results

Tested with mutators in this order:
INF Bonus
IMT WeaponPack 1.2
(UN) Handgun Fix
IBT 40mm
IBT

Results: Inconclusive. I honestly couldn't tell or see a difference. Although, with the Scope tests, you can see UT's ugly quantization effect taking place. The lack of scope kick is interesting, but I'm not sure if I can feel any changes. Maybe I have to be shot a few times to see if I survive :)

Currently IBT doesn't change anything to weapon's accuracy, that's the part which is missing from it... The most noticeable diference resides in kick, damages and in the features listed above. I own well constructed ideas to improve bullet flight and damage system, but I need help to put them in code.
And for mutator order you should have done like said in the installation notes :
INF_PickupMenuFix
INF_Bonus
IBT 40mm
IBT
NEXTMutator
NEXTMutator2
.......
Don't load MiniUziFix.

To Vega-don :
What do you mean by not working? System Crash? Can't notice features?
Well try these things :
1- Grab an MP5/40 or MP5K, reload it before you shoot, if it's reloaded without ejecting a round... this means that the mutator is working, you can try shooting in semi-auto mode and see if 31 shots are fired (30 in magazine + 1 chambered).
2- Disable FatalShots from StrafeWhoreNomore if used and enabled then once in game shoot one round of an M16 in the legs of a bot in your team, if its remaining health is 28, the mutator worked, otherwise it must be 40.
3- Pick a supressed FAMAS empty it on wall in full auto, if you notice that the recoil is very low, the mutator is working, check the bullets marks on the wall they should be the same size of those of FN P-90 and Five-seveN.

To cracwhore :
Same as for Vega-don... and sincerely I don't think the windowed mode problem is caused by IBT as the mutator don't act at all on display or HUD.

i have pickupmenu fix as 1 mutie
bonus weapons as 2nd
ballistick as 3rd
weapon pack 1.2 as 4rth


et j'ai essayé a peu pres dans tout les ordres possibles

Why do I need PickupmenuFix? Isn't that a hack for servers to run so people can't steal the CD? Does your mutator require Pickupmenufix to run? If not, then I don't see why it needs to be in the mutator list (unless you're a server).

What makes you think that a suppressor lowers muzzle velocity? The FAMAS, M4A1, M16A4, MP5/40A3, MP5A2, Uzis, and Mk23 should all have approximately the same muzzle velocity with or without the suppressor attachment.

The only suppressed weapon in INF that has a lower muzzle velocity is the P90 because it actually uses different ammunition in its suppressed form. --And the INF team already took this into account in the damage.

Also, the kick multiplier should be left in because it simulates the disruption of the soldier's shooting stanced caused by the recoil.

didnt see any differences either (reloading the mp5's or the suppressed famas) - the only change i noticed was that the suppressed socom made dust clouds after every shot on the shooting range which was pretty neat
