Best Classic UT demo?

Hi!

There is a big chance that I will do a small Lan with a few friends,
and I want to play a few UT titles if possible.

Can anyone recommend a Classic UT demo that will work on Win7
without problems? Is there maybe even a UT demo that will work
easily on a default Ubuntu installation?

The 'problems' that are typically involved are the CPU speed issues with throttled CPUs (like laptops) and the immature D3DDrv - the latter which could be worked around by using a Glide wrapper such as nGlide. Installing Utglr won't work for the demo as the headers and code was only released for version 436 - which regressed against 322-348

This UT optimized works very well with win 7 but as say leilei it may encounter some problems.

Make the install with the right click as administrator.
Use a MultiCoreFix for your players with MultiCore cpu http://unrealtournament.99.free.fr/utfiles/index.php?dir=Patches/&file=UT99_ver436_MultiCoreFix.zip
