I swear, if my DAW software (Propellerhead's Reason, and Record) and Adobe software could run natively under Linux, I'd switch fully to it. At this point, I'm only using it on my laptop for programming/web dev/casual. Ubuntu itself has made some serious strides in usability and features, especially with social networking integration. It's a pleasure using it. The only headaches I've had are the obvious - having to install everything for mp3 and encrypted DVD playback - but beyond that, it's fantastic. Being able to bring it closer to a mainstream gaming platform is just icing on the cake.
