I have a 640k down/100k up ADSL line and it seems to upload at most 13-14KB per second. Download speeds are at most 70-75k/sec but are always that fast if the server can handle it. Now my question....that upload speed seems to be a little faster than two modems so will a router be able to split that bandwidth and make UT playable for two people on the LAN? My ping right now will be below 100 if the server can handle it so two people playing should have a modem like ping of 190 or so which would not be fast but would be playable for fun. What do u guys think? I am getting the netgear one port one since I already have a hub. If these upload speeds dont cut it maybe I will just move to cable?

This bandwidth looks decent, you *MAY* try using a router and get correct result, and the ping would stay around 100 for both players (hey, bandwidth is divided by a router, but not ping nor packet size ;) ) so that's an option, although i'd recommend you being greedy, and keep all the bandwidth for you, and have a great time playing online in better-than-modem conditions.

... and you can still get a sh!tload of fun with a 400+ ping!

You should be okay. I emphasize "should". For over a year my roommate and I (who share a DSL line with similar upload speeds) played with no problems. Suddenly starting last weekend we've had major problems playing at the same time (we both have to set our netspeeds way down to enjoy playable games). I'm not sure if anything changed at the ISP. My roommate also upgraded his computer over the weekend (just the CPU and motherboard) ... not sure if that's got anything to do with it but I can't imagine that a CPU/motherboard combination can suddenly suck more data through the network card to the point it adversely affects me .... we're really confused. Anyway, you should be okay, but keep in mind my predicament.
