You don't want to watch a demo of fatal1ty unless you need something to put you to sleep before bed. He's the kind of fragger who gets one kill then literally runs away for the entire rest of the match.

Oh REALLY? :( a shame...

I seen this other picture of him winning this game for money with 6 other players, 10 kills in 1.02minutes on Antalus 2k3, that mustve been great to watch..

:stupid:

I was disappointed when I first saw a demo of him playing.

Here's a quote from his "surprise" UT2004 loss:
Lighting struck twice when Laurens Pluijmaekers (pictured above) stepped up for his shot against Fatal1ty. Laurens scored a quick first kill and the crowd cheered. The he scored a second kill, then a third, and a fourth. When the score got to 10-0, the crowd watching the match was in shock - Fatal1ty, the world's best gamer, was having his ass handed to him! When it was all over, the final score was 11-1. Everybody in the audience was asking the same question "Who was that guy?"

Laurens "lauke" Pluijmaekers is the reining UT2004 champion for WCG, EOGC and the Cyber X Games. Unlike Fatal1ty, who has won tournaments with different types of games, Laurens is a UT2004 specialist. When playing UT2004 against lauke, Fatal1ty was really the underdog.

Just imagine someone plinking away it his opponent and then running away. No risks. Very conservative. Very boring. Watch someone who knows how to play UT2004 instead.

Lauke is actually a pretty fun guy to watch in 2k4 depending on who he is playing. He's way more agressive than most 2k4 "pro"s.

By the looks of some of the demos I been watching, Burnie is better than lauke, yes? he doesnt seem to have this Jedi force you know :) Burnie is awesome, some of the shots he makes, like, shooting a shock ball, from about 50 metres, then knowing its not going to be there in time, moves a side a bit, and hitscans him a bit, then moves back to his ball thats nearly there, then BANG....BUS..lol..man, that move was awesome.. He controls the stage better than the rest I seen so far... I guess people have different playing styles against other pros aye? Say, Fat pwns, GitzZz, then GitzZz pwns lauke, then lauke pwnz FAT? then Burnie pwns GitzZz, then Fat pwns Burnie? hahaha, tell me to shut up please...

Shut up, please. You're discussing people who don't even play the game anymore. :p Well, I guess Lauke plays every now and then, but whatever.

aw cut him some slack, he's from the southern hemisphere, and probably a bit new to the game, so all this stuff is new to him.

I think I saw that demo, but it's been a while. Anyone who can beat a guy they used to call the "human sentry turret" must be pretty damned good, no doubt.

Lauke beat fat 11-1 at E3 in front of dozens of spectators. There is no demo.

Lauke isn't actually that agressive. He is very smart though. If you watch him he almost never attacks when he doesn't think he has a high probablility of winning, and when the opponent controls the map he is quite good at avoiding fights and stocking up. Once he gets just one big kill and he is stacked you will see him get almost all his score right afterwards in an awesome display of spawnrape.

Very few of the very good players are "agressive" in the normal sence of the word. Almost all agressive play stems from the knowledge they have a much better chance of winning a given fight. When the odds are against them they try to avoid it. This in my mind is not agressive but smart.

Of course now it seems pretty certain that falcon was a better player then lauke. At eswc 2005 or whenever they had the famous lea match they were close, but I also have a demo (from when im not sure) of falcon absolutely schooling lauke. OF course winz beat falcon very convincingly, especially on rankin (rampage in a final is pretty impressive) so...
