Man oh man, much like all the other guys who've dropped in, I too can't believe this site / forum is still going. Crazy to think that it was almost 10 years ago that I was working on the Iraq and Tuscany maps (and that I remembered my forum details today).

What happened to me? I stopped mapping, dropped out of University and went and worked in advertising for 7 years as a game "producer". Now I'm out of that working for myself and have been making Flash games for a living for nigh on 2 years now.

Did anyone get to play The Last Mile in the end? I don't remember if we put it out there...hazy times.

Anyone wanting to check out my recent work can do so over at: www.conartistgames.com or on armorgames.com check out The Last Stand series and the Warfare 1917 and Warfare 1944 games.

I saw erehwoN and a few other names I recognised floating around, who's still here?

What work did you do at Conartistgames? Or are you the Conartist himself? If so, I've played your games. Great stuff!

I don't think the Last Mile was ever released for INF. Was it an EAS map?

Raek! Get your INF up and running so I can frag your ass for old times sake:)

The drop ins happen about once a week, but this place is pretty much dead for the most part. Glad to hear you're still kickin it man, especially working for yourself. Its definitely an uphill battle that way, but well worth it. Forums are strange. When people move on there's no way to tell even if they're still breathing. Most of the old gang is MIA.

Anyhow, I'm still kickin around. Dropped out of high school, moved to CA and took up theatre, heading to NYC in the near future, and working in restaurants to make ends meet.

When I stopped playing INF I pretty much stopped playing video games. I just successfully ported UT/INF over to my Macbook yesterday, so I've been diving back into some old favorites. It's kinda lame shooting bots all the time though. Not like the good 'ol days of full servers. I'll check out your links there when I get done ironing out this INF setup. The Bonus pack is giving me hell.

Hello Ræk. Good to see you're into games and not politics, although you can rest assured we have enough embarrassing quotes stored away to make the latter interesting. ;)

I've been trying to jumpstart my brain in a similar direction, but man is it hard to motivate yourself without the good old community jabbering in the background.

Came across this site out of nostalgia. Apparently my last login was December 2003. Damn Yurch I can't believe you're still around and still sporting the purple pimp hat! I remember the mod you made way back when to fix a lot of the perceived problems with Infiltration at the time. Does anyone still play Infiltration?

If you guys still want to program and map, you should come over to Crysis. They have a whole web site devoted to modding. www.crymod.com. Would love to see some INF style maps in Crysis like Tuscany, Tiger Hunt, and some other map I can't remember now. It had that soapy looking river going through it with stone bridges over it and bunches of houses.

INF has a permanent place on my hard drive, and I lurk the forums occasionally.

I never see anything from oldies like Zundfolge and Keiichi. Haven't been on IRC for a few years, but last time I checked, I think DankBudz was still loitering around.

Hi raek.

..I've been trying to jumpstart my brain in a similar direction, but man is it hard to motivate yourself without the good old community jabbering in the background.
jabberjabber jabber, jabbababb jabjabberjab. Ok? Now start coding something yurch. Everybody knows women like coders.

We already lost Beppo, sadly.

Hi folks,

am still living but am not really active in any sector right now. Am sorry John, but in addition of not being at home much lately my telphone and so my internet connection broke about two weeks ago due to some work going on in front of my house (new gas and water pipes for the whole street). So Email is reduced to some minutes at work during my lunch break for at least another week till the guys am able to fix it.

I'm currently not a part of the project in an active way anymore due to some personal stuff going on for about a year or two now. In a stressed version of it some would call it burn-out but I will not go that far. It's just a general disappointment about my "real life" job, what's going on there for years now and some personal stuff...

Would tell more but time is running out (lunch break). So the internet connection will be cut in a few seconds.

Cheers,

Beppo

UN17: Yeah, I'm the Con Artist himself. All that work is me on my lonesome. Glad you enjoyed the work :)

Chronic: Working for yourself is a huuuge leap. Especially given my old job, was in a senior position at an advertising firm, could have ridden out my days there as I got in on the ground floor. Problem was I didn't love it. Sounds like you're chasing the dream too!

Yurch: Oh yurch and your pimp hat, memories. IRC quotes will always be my achilles heel.

But yeah, the old gang, hey. Only two guys who I have a vague idea of what's going on are Los Pescados, who is working at a Canadian games studio under Activision and another of our old mappers, Botman who is at Gearbox.

Would love to hear what guys like sublime, Old Geezer and ShakKen are up to these days.

Well holy ****, Raek.

I've played a number of those games, and enjoyed a lot of them. I think 1917 is the one I keep coming back to the most.

It's really funny how often I run into old parts of the community elsewhere on the net.

I ran into phatcat in the HL2 community...for awhile, he had his own mod going...SMOD Tactical. ShakKen was also a part of this for awhile, but their forums recently went down.

Waxx I also ran into...for awhile he participated in a Garrysmod Comic website called PHWComics (later renamed PHWOnline, now a goner), then created his own called MineDog.

As far as I know, Buddy Pickle is still out and about drawing comics...I think he even has some of the old INF comics up on his website for old time's sake.

The other guy I was in contact with for a while was Iceman, but he seems to have dropped off the face of the earth...haven't heard from him in two years.

Regarding "The Last Mile"... Do you have a copy anywhere on your HD? I don't think I've played that and I'm hoping it is an EAS Map!

Good to see some familiar names. I'm still sort of around, but it's been ages since I played the game, or any game for that matter. Work, family and other everyday issues swallow up any free time I might have. I check in on the forum about every second month and thats about it.

Raekwon! Just a name I wanted to see; I actually got done playing INF_Ghetto, Yes the Unreal 1 community is still kicking, and was wondering where you might have gone.
