First ever Unreal map I've made... about half way complete, using default art assets from the UDK. Any crit is welcome for whats there so far.

For a first map not bad. I'd say the map lacks contrast in lighting, also given the time of day, there would not be any light cone effects coming off the lights in your 3rd screen shot.

Try to add in some color and contrast, and slightly tweak the high and mid tone settings of post processing to make your world colors 'pop' and feel slightly more real and plausible.

Lighting is getting better, but there's still some shearing going on, I'll get around to that soon, just give it a little time.

Volumetric action!

Took care of the shearing on this ceiling and floor. :D

Feels oldschool!

I'm very curious about the last one - this distant tower looks quite unusual, what can it be?

That's pretty cool-looking, TurdDrive! What's it for?

Couple of things I noticed:
I like the pattern on and above the magazine. Makes the magazine look like it belongs there.
The protection plate things for the front sight look mean.:)
The wire-bracket shoulder-support thing looks very frail and the part that goes against the shoulder when it's turned back is very narrow. It also looks as if it would just revolve around those screws at the back with no additional means for it to snap into place. Doesn't look like it would do anybody a lot of good.
The positioning of the hands look more appropriate for shooting a bow instead of a gun. Probably due to it being a WIP.

I hope you'll post more pics of this as you go along. A lot of probably cool looking details get lost in the smoothed lighting of these shots. E.g. the rear of the lid of the ejection-port appears to be round, not flat. I'd love to see how it really looks. Also took me a few looks to even notice the curves in the metal under the wavey pattern.

Thanks,

Actually, its for nothing, If anyone would like to use it, Contact me.

The design above the magazine has a little gap in it, I was thinking of putting something there that slides up when the magazine is put up there and back down when it is ejected.

Thanks, I am actually thinking of changing the Iron sights as when they are aligned they do not look good together,

I am going to change the stock to a retractable one which will slide by the 'curvy' metal.

The rear lid on the ejection port is actually curved slightly.
