UT2004 Build UT2004_Build_[2005-02-15_17.02]

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: GenuineIntel Unknown processor @ 2414 MHz with 511MB RAM
Video: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5600 (7801)

Failed to enter MOV-Menu.ut2: Can't find file 'MOV-Menu.ut2'

History: UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine <- FMallocWindows::Free <- FMallocWindows::Free


this comes up when i try to start the game... any solutions?

Looks like a bad installation.

If you downloaded this frmo FilePlanet then uninstall DA2 and reinstall make sure you DO NOT install anywhere else besides your ROOT UT2004 directory (installer shows it automatically after it scans your registry).

If you got DA2 from another site before the official release it might be corrupted.

Try reinstalling the v3355 patch for UT2004 as well

The same problem has happened to me. The link for the .ini file doesn't work (http://www.the-newsgroup.net/memberupload/DA2.ini, posted by Blackclaw). I got the mod on a DVD with a magazine (Christmas 2005 issue). Can you help me?

Hmm try to start the mod again let it crash and then upload your DA2.log online and let us see it.

Your DA2 should be installed in C:\UT2004\DA2 and not C:\UT2004\DA2\DA2 - just in case check that.

Second try to see in C:\UT2004\DA2\Maps if there is a file named MOV-Menu.ut2 (the one that the mod is trying to look for and it crashes).

In C:\UT2004\DA2 there are no folders called DA2. There is a file called DA2.exe (with the DA2 icon).
The MOV-Menu is in C:\UT2004\DA2\Maps. But in any case can you upload the files in that folder for me because my antivirus programs tells me that the file does not exist.

Good, as aBs was saying, there shouldn't be any folder in C:\UT2004\DA2 called DA2. The MOV-Menu file is also in the correct spot.

I would uninstall your current DA2 install and install the mod file found on the website given above. The DVD may have installed incorrectly among the 1000 other possibilities.
