I have a solution: Get as ugly as me, no worries from the girl department then if you don't want them ;)

Sucks if you really do want a girlfriend though :(

TM, sorry dude, we've all been there.

I remember dating in college. It was fun, but it sure could be brutal. I was so sick of the dating scene when I met my now wife.

The weird thing is, the dating issues will benefit you. They prepare you for when you finally do meet your "soul mate." I look back on my dating years at all the crap and heartache I took, but realized those experiences made me better, and actually prepared me for an interpersonal relationship.

I dated this one girl for 6 months in college. We weren't officially engaged, but we were discussing it. She went home for Christmas break. Low and behold, when she came back, she was engaged! Needles to say, it wasn't to me.

I feel you man! Just hang in there. Your time will come.

Did she just think I was really kind? Did she think I just love spending a load of money on going to the pub and the cinema while she sits there happily with her free cinema ticket and free beer?

maybe she thought you were gay or something like that /joke

you don't have to feel mean
if a "relationship"(boy/girlfriend,or just normal friends) ends,it is better when you're mean and make an end
if not you just wish to have the chance again to be mean and let her feel guilty

D00d, why not, haven't you ever spent money on friends like that? Maybe she did think you were being a friend.

Des, I have spent money on my friends like that, but only my closest friends.

Someday I hope she and all other women realise that they don't have to date complete tools and that guys they can actually be friends with make good boyfriends too. Instead of dating the men that move in for the kill, women should know to date the guys who are a little more reserved than that and respect them and not want to jump straight into the sack.

I almost felt mean, but then I thought to myself "she's let me ring her every night for the last 3 weeks and blow a ton of money on my phonebill", even though on the second date she didn't see me as a potential boyfriend figure. Bitch.

Err I thought that when you put money into a girl so you could get action I thought that was called prostitution...

TWD, you'll learn one day that prostitutes are actually a cost effective solution to having a full time girlfriend.

MetalMickey, Prostitutes have been around for centuries, it's not some new fad.

I hope I know what I'm doing by letting go of this girl, she was the first real hope of me not being alone I've had in years.

Hehehe TM, the same thing had happened to me at the beginning of the summer, but I quickly forgot about it during summer vacation (which TOTALLY F*CKING RULED). Anyway, women are bitches, they just don't have the potential of being as fun as a guy friend. It is very VERY rare to find a girl that you can enjoy being with without having sexual contact, and actually love her.

What do you mean by "Alone" ? You got friends to keep you company, don't you? You should value your real friends more than anything else, anything, especially women!

Dude, you should really watch "Ah'Lamour" by Don Hertzfeld (sp?), It gives you such a good idea about women! :)

She took me for a ride. Plain and simple.

No you offered to take her out and she let you. Worse still you continued, so that is no one else's fault but yours.

If you give something and expect something back in return without letting the other person know that is what you wanted in the first place then that is your fault for not making sure she knew that from the begining.

I agree with everything deepershade has said.

She wasn't at fault for thinking you were kind, how could she when you were so busy being so nice to her?

You would probably do better making clear your intentions or simply offer to go halves. That way you wont feel as though you have lost something if it doesnt work out.If you cant find a women who will go halves then your dating the wrong women.

He's not 100% guilty. The women I know who let men pay for them without saying a word are opportunist bitches.

Nice women will not hesitate to tell you if they only want to be friends before you spend a lot of money on them. In this case, you may consider continuing talking to her (to meet her friends).

Although that's why I never spend a dime on a potential target unless she understands that I expect more than friendship.

Yup you got owned, next time you take a potential gf to the cinema buy some popcorn. Insert your ding dong from the bottom, once she reaches the jackpot and actually plays with it, you wont have any doubt. In fact you should surprise her with some extra butter.

Not really TWD, and I'm sure that your quite aware of that fact.
You spend money on girls easily, " hay lets eat here " lets do this and that and the next thing you know you, she has unloaded your wallet and not your penis
