Has anyone seen the film DarkCity cause its where they mainly ripped off the underlying story for The Matrix.
I saw DarkCity ages ago then when i saw The Matrix i thought 'boy did they borrow heavily from DarkCity or what??'
If u haven't seen DC get it and you'll see what i mean.
Anyone agree with me.??

I thought exactly the same thing when I fisrt saw The Matrix as well.

There is a difference though: Everybody loves The Matrix, while Dark City seems to have people loving it or hating it.

well i can't really disagree with you there, because i fall asleep everytime i try and watch Dark City. My arguement lies around the fact that i don't fall asleep during the matrix, so they have to be different ;)

Matrix 1999

Similar concepts, you know except for the aliens, the fact that they are experementing on humans souls and their behavior (to avoid their own exrinction), and computers had nothing to do with what was going on. Matrix was better if the action/ special effects are what you are looking for. Dark City was a thriller, not a sci-fi action movie. Plus Jennifer Connely aint all that bad to look at.
