Hi,

as you may be already know, I mumble lots of unrelated code-like stuff.

Now my question, does anyone have an idea to figure out a forum's actual purpose? Any tips would be great.

Maybe you should check what kind of website you're on before you post a question which none of the site's users are qualified to answer.
