JB-Gravity Beta

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. This is really impressive. Love the layout. The music is pure class. Looks awesome. Love the jaildeath. I'm yet to find something I don't like that isn't down to personal preference - I don't like Lo Gravity, but it spices up the arena :tup:

The only thing I could think of was make the panorama map more clear.

btw, for me fps is fine

Fixed a load of small things, visual & lighting tweaks, antiportals, botpathing, pickups, loading screen...

I have tested it online a few times. One thing I noticed is that the monitor trigger in the jail doesn't work sometimes, but nobody else seems to have that problem. Did anyone else notice that?

It's OK.
- I still think the KegHealth100 is too much and makes the player who got it impossible to kill before taking the switch. Replace by a health or a few vials?
- Picture 1: The linkgun would be better instead the Mini, it would offer more interesting teamwork... ;)
- Picture 2: I forgot saying about the ceilings and skybox in the other betas... :rolleyes:
- Picture 3: Use a diffeerent texture/shader please!...
Everything else is good. Looking forward to the Final. :)

Did you perhaps have your ShieldGun selected at the time? Due to JailFight reasons, the monitor switches in jail won't switch your view when you have your ShieldGun out.

@ G.Lecter : its your com that sucks m8. :( the sky box looks amazing on my pc, its the best ive seen actually!! and that shader bug? i dont get it. i get a really nice projector image on the floor. you really should fix your com. your missing out!!


the jump pad "issue" lol. if you just simply hold forward it takes you to the lock ;)

Luvs it! (the entire map) oh and the pano is real nice. a bit unclear but i dont see how you can change that. FPS excellent too on my com :) good work Hazel, keep it up!

i can see this map becoming very popular, im already addicted to the beta! =D

Here's how the skybox should look:

Please check your settings, I'll check if there are any detail level settings on the meshes in the skybox too. The problem texture you're seeing is a projector - try putting the detail settings to low and see if it still shows up.

I'm happy with the weapon placement at the moment, but will test it some more online :) If there wasn't some extra health and shield, I think the game would be over too quick - everyone would just go straight to the middle area too.

lol, I hope I'll get a new card for Christmas of later. I want a good one to run AOE3 and UT2007 well. :D But I'll keep reporting this kind of bugs until that moment.

No problem in adding health in the sides, that's a good idea, but keep in mind it's very easy to take (and difficult to defend) the switches attacking from the high paths, and the Kegs are at those high routes... ;)

Is the newest version on nalicity already? I'll check out there.

BTW do you know a good mapping guide? Can't wait to try myself but the terrain, particle and fluids tuts do not help me much

AI "bug"

Bots have the strange habit to play with the jumppads here
especially arround the release switches they jump over the ledge a time or three before really touching it:hmm: . Gives the other team about 2 more chances to kill them.

I've *finally* got UT2k4 installed, and I played this map with bots this morning.

Very nice! Fast action, compact layout that's easy to learn but has plenty of tricks.

If you do make a second release, here's a couple of things:
* the death seq is fantastic, but I really think those two cogs in the lift shaft should spin as the platform drops.
* the zipfile didn't have a folder structure.

But these are really minor points -- they don't deserve a new release in themselves.

Great work. I hope to see more! :)

Thanks :D I had thought about it but decided not to because it might slow the framerate in the jails down. Maybe in the "Gold" version :lol:
