I haven't done a survey or anything, but my guess is the majority of people bothered by bare cleavage intentionally being put in a computer game, because the artist went out of his way to portray the sexiness of the female character, are ruled out of the equation once we get into a first-person shooter with profanity, carnage, a spectator sport theme, a war theme, a scifi theme, and everything unreal.
I don't see anything wrong with healthy looking sexy female characters airing a little more skin than their male counterparts. The female character's physique and skinny form is already unrealistically uniformly taking the same amount of damage as her male counterparts who possess much a better physique and build.
If you don't want sexy vixens in the game, then say so. No need to say" why are females showing more skin?" IMO, I find a sexy theme with regular amount of skin showing not even as close to as lewd as a sexy theme with full body bondage armor.(anti-bikini comparison) If you don't want a sex theme say so. Complain about penis shapes laying around maps and in the weapon art. Complain about characters looking too "sexy" and etc. Complain about the characters shouting lewd profanity.
It's a lot broader than the female characters showing more skin.
My point before was there are some people that are bothered by characters murdering eachother in a spectator bloodsport and shouting lewd profanities. Getting rid of skin is probably the easiest thing to get rid of without losing the unreal feel, however. From all of the concept art shots I have seen they are putting limits on the amount of skin being shown, but I really don't know. And I think the limited amount concept art I have seen so far does bare very little skin. Nothing I have seen so far can be related in any form to characters running around half naked, imo.Starry Might said:there ARE women out there who are genuinely bothered by female characters who "dare to bare", and I actually think that gamers and game makers SHOULD respect that.
