Big ass gun
I realize people jsut want a big ass gun, but with a GPMG you're going to be surprised at how much effort it takes.
You won't be running around corners blazing full auto.
You'll be running, crouching, setting up the position, then maybe firing a little.
You are easily flanked. Any GPMG user will need a teammate as backup against flank attacks, and hopefully we'll have a provision for an assistant. I'm hoping that the gpmg will be something you "drop" or "set up", where then it becomes a user controlled object like the browning .50 we have. it would take time to take down, and. . .
i don't think that the level of teamwork seen in INF right now supports good GPMG use. Who wants to spend their time crouched by a gunner with their back to the cover looking away from the enemy so they can guard some other guy?
