My idea of wilderness survival is a restaurant that I haven't been to before.

Our Judo club is planning a camping weekend for a big competition in Inverness during May (the camp site is adjacent to the sports centre) and I've found the perfect spot to pitch my tent: http://www.premierinn.com/en/hotel/INVSOU/inverness-west#2

Am I a wimp? Yes. Will I care, sleeping soundly in my hotel room whilst the others freeze their buts off? No. :)

Was the daffodil the worst?

Well I don't find suffering fun so I generally have allot of gear when I camp. Including battery powered space heaters. But I haven't been in a long time as my wife refuses to go without an RV.

Kinda a toss up. Typha or cattail root was the worst taste wise... but I hate spicy food so the wild chillis were pure torture for me.

Ha, I love that last photo he took. And the way he did it too. Fuckin tactical corner slice into flashbang and headshot with his suppressed MP5.

If they aren't physically broken than I'm sure they work fine. All they need is a little service and they are ready to shoot. Most likely just need a cleaning and lube.

Really? I just thought it looked a little underexposed. I like it when nature photos are a little bright hehe.

I don't see what use that photo could have if it isn't a little brighter.

Maybe it's a bad apple and go for some more shots? :p

It definitely doesn't look right to me, even if it was in shade or evening/night. Compared to this night shot too.

Some pics I took earlier this evening

Who knew some random flowers could generate controversy? :)

I've now had a chance to look at the photo on my desktop PC (i.e. decent monitor) and also to discover that my main monitor at work was rather poorly calibrated.

The colour/brightness has come out as I intended so I can't blame my rubbish laptop display. That is the way I wanted it.

By way of background, the shot was taken in the North of Scotland on what passes for a good day - a bit cloudy and the sun never gets too high above the horizon. :)
