With its humble beginnings as a modification, Killing Floor, under the wing of Trip Wire Interactive, has gone on to sell more than a million copies at retail. It's no accident either as it's a gritty, addictive co-op zombie killer that's not to be missed. If you've missed out on the fun thus far, as Steam's Midweek Madness title, it's 85% off until 4 PM PST today.

  • 1.1 MILLION copies of Killing Floor sold on PC in 2 and a half years
  • Nearly 2 million Killing Floor DLC packs sold
  • 45 MILLION hours of Killing Floor played to date
  • 440 MILLION Zeds have been dispatched in Achievements alone - including more than a quarter-million Christmas Santa
  • Zeds are being killed by you at the rate of over 20,000 an hour!
  • Hundreds of custom maps have been created by the community
Congratulations to everyone who's been a part of its success!

Now they say retail sales, I am assuming this doesn't mean steam? I have no idea why companies never release these numbers, it would make sales look a helluva a lot better instead of hearing that PC retail sales were down 50%.

Anyway I hope this prompts Tripwire to consider a sequel of sorts. I wanna killer fools again!!

The retail bit is hal's doing, the original post from Tripwire just says "copies on PC" and you can be absolutely sure steam sales are included because there is no way KF sold over a million retail copies.

Tripwire really put an effort into this game and I'm glad they did. It's really one of the best games of the past few years IMO.
