"analyzed it with three spectrometers" ... Mass spectrometers determine the elemental composition... what are we gonna find a new element? That would be cool but hardly a reason for hush hush behavior.

This is a brand new system being used in the field for the first time. Give 'em a little time to make sure it's working correctly. BTW, that's all this this was - a systems test, not a serious attempt at science. Give 'em a little time before you jump to the conspiracy theories.
