Much of a community for PS3?

I used to have the Xbox version of UT, which was quite a disappointment. The gameplay was good, but trying to play online was a waste of time... hardly any games online and most were riddled with bots.

Is it the same case for the PS3 version? I've heard good things about online play for UT on the PS3, but that was quite a while ago.

You are talking about UT3, and not UT:GOTY, right? It has console ports as well, and you miss out the "3" for some reason so it might get confusing.
