Game itself runs like a charm, and I have no performance issues.
The problem:

I have Unreal Tournament v436 and Infiltration v2.9 installed. I have downloaded the weapon pack umod and installed into my UnrealTournament directory. When I start a new game, the Weapon Pack 1.2 mutator shows up in the add mutator box. I add the mutator, but when my game begins I still have the original UT weapons.

It appears that the .u files for the mod are not being found. The INF_Core.u is in my \UnrealTournament\Infiltration\System folder. I have installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled UT, Infiltration, and the weapon pack several times. I have even copied all of the .u files from \UnrealTournament\Infiltration\system and put them into \UnrealTournament\system. This actually gets rid of the "Failed to locate INF_Core" message, but the original UT weapons are still present when loading a new game.

I'm not too familar with logfiles but:

Weaponpack goes into UT/system folder (like all muties)

You need to activate the mutie and will find the extra guns in the loadout section (you sound like you expect a replacement but its in fact an addition). Make sure to start a regular map (with mutie activated) before you go to the shootingrange.

Make sure to start with the INF icon and better switch to latest OGL driver (instead of D3D) http://cwdohnal.home.mindspring.com/utglr/

P.S. Did you mean UT or INF weapons?

Sounds like your Infiltration.ini has defaulted to the regular UT one, or you aren't starting Inf with the correct ini. Make sure you are running Inf using the shortcut and not just running 'Infiltration.exe'.

If that doesn't fix it, either restore the ini from a backup, from the manual Inf zip file, or do a clean reinstall i.e. make sure you delete all the files.

You start UT and not INF therefore INFMOD Weaponpack doesn't work.

You should read Infiltration Field Manual

If you did NOT install Infiltration with the Setup EXE, you must edit the shortcut file manually. Updating your required Infiltration shortcut is quick and easy. Just follow these steps and you won't have any problems. Remember, Infiltration requires UT patch 436 or better!

Go into your \UnrealTournament\System directory, right click the Infiltration.lnk shortcut and choose "Properties".

Now edit the path of the file in the Target location. Example:
C:\UnrealTournament\System\Infiltration.exe entry.unr INI=Infiltration.ini USERINI=InfiltrationUser.ini

Perhaps I did not clarify on what I am trying to do. My goal is to play a UT Deathmatch (the original 1999 UT game) using the INF Weapon Pack. I am using UT.exe and not INF.exe. I don't want to play Infiltration. I just want the weapons, but to use those in UT, I need INF v2.9 and the INF Weapon Pack, correct? I remember downloading a weapon mutator years ago and playing UT with "realistic" weapons. However, that was another PC, and I don't recall the name of that mod. I have searched the web for hours, and Infiltration seems to be the only weapon mutator still available for UT.

If what I am trying to do is not possible, then I misunderstood the use of Weapon Pack 1.2.

Aha! So, 2.75 runs under UT. I downloaded INF 2.75, and it does exactly what I was trying to get 2.9 to do. Thanks for the info.
