Soledad is a Skaarj crypt that has been transformed into a breeding ground.
The Skaarj breed similarly to honeybees, they plant their pupae in diamond shaped cells until maturity. The fluid acts as an embryonic supplement so the Skaarj can grow up to be stronger than most creatures. Whenever you encounter a Skaarj breeding area, take caution, for you never know which cell is occupied by a potentially lethal Skaarj pupa.
