The AI may not be great...but it's way better then in any other FPS on the market

I wish there were bots in other FPS games like in the UT series

Yea, Bots in UT3 are some of the best in the industry.

Considering the AI in these fast fps are required to pick up weapons and shoot at you is impressive, most just need to shoot at you without being unfair. If you can find a better AI in a game tell me, because ALL AI suck.

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith was released ... it even was in the ff-ing news on the radio and tv.
UT3 is just another game that may be placed on the shelves of some specialist game-shops.

And as for the AI .. it is a damned shame that Epic's AI is still considered the best in the business.
That's not good ... it's downright pathetic.

yeah ut AI are the best in the biz, hands down.

It's true, UT3's A.I. is one of the best. But in my opinion the FEAR A.I. is better.

but does it work in multi-player as well ? ...
there have been single-player only fps's that had better AI, but AFAIK none used it in a multi-player setting (unless they had the Unreal-engine).

FEAR's AI is just cleverly scripted scenarios, I was very impressed with FEAR's AI until I realized the patterns, then it was boring. FEAR AI doesn't go and pick up weapons and heath either, they just sit hours behind a couch waiting for you.

I can't tell, I never tried to spawn a NPC in MP. But the A.I. is unscripted (some events in the SP only trigger scripts) so it should work.

The AI in FEAR is for a very big part unsripted, as I stated above. You can see that by engaging en then retreating to previous areas. You will see them following, taking cover, and using teamtactics (they often trie to flank you, or take alternative routes to get behind you) Furthermore, I found the A.I. in FEAR to have far less recogniseable behaviour then other A.I. usually encountered in other games.
