PuF 1on1 Round 3 starts now

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. My computer's up and running again. If anyone wants, I'll set it up as a server (again) for the 1v1 tourney. I'll put it up when I'm not using it. I'm usually on it from 830pm-12am est. Other than that, I can leave it running for you guys/gals. I'll ask my wife to NOT turn it off. :)

I'll turn it on tonight when I've logged off.

Well i now know where my hosting troubles lies, and now at last can host games.
Some UK's guys and US guy's ping quite good my PC, so if you guy's want i could now host some 1on1 games for the PuF match.

So whats the word on the map selection? Do we HAVE to use Liandri? I prefer to play a map with some open spaces in it.

Also, I do not think any match should be decided by coin toss..that is not fair to advance a player to the next round that way.
A win by forfeit is honorable but if neother player shows they both ought to be dropped or go into a losers bracket. To give a no show a win by coin toss isnt right...imho :)

Xylene vs. Pope last night. Liandri, 10 frags.
Very close game, could've gone either way with the lead changing hands several times and with bad pings for both sides. Final score: 10-9.
Unfortunately, I didn't get a shot or a demo (it was 0200 my time and I wasn't thinking straight), maybe Xy got one?
Whatever the case it was a damn gg with a lot of heartbeats (at least on my side). Thx Jenny, thx Blow_Smoke for trying to help us with the server. Good luck to all still in the Tournament.

We decide some matches by coin toss because we have to have at least one person from each pair go through or it screws up the next round. For example, in Round 2 there were 16 matches. If only 15 of those had been played only 15 people would have gone to Round 3, which would make seven matches and one odd person.

Granted, that person could then have got an automatic bye to Round 4, but the end result is the same, a match doesn't get played at some stage.

I know it's not fair and I've said so several times, but we had to do something so that's the idea we went with.

P.S. Watchdog, you're playing Mazza in Round 3.

And as far as the default map goes, no you DON'T have to use Liandri, you can use whatever the two players can agree on.

I haven't done any tweaking on it yet, but for two player matches, there shouldn't be any problems.

I'll do the .ini tweaking tonight after I log off from playing.

Details:

Liandri.
Johnny Dough (my bot) is set to godlike for practising.
No powerups.
No redeemer.
25 frag limit.
weaponstay.
x-loc available.

If anyone plays, please post some feedback for me as to how it's running.
