Important Ranger ZOOM BUG workaround!!!!!

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. Some of you might not know this.

If you use your scroll wheel exclusively for weapon switching, you get this zoom bug that everyone talks about and hates.

However, IF the zoom bug happens to you, hit the alias for your #1 weapon, which is generally 1 for most people. It will reset back to the sniper rifle and fix it. Then you can move back to the pistol.

Switch up or down weapon won't work since it will just zoom in and out,

The bug is still annoying, but at least you can remedy it. I've seen some rangers suiciding because of the bug.

tnx for the tip:tup:, but with the slow weaponchanging you are probably dead b4 u changed from pistol to sniperrifle and back to pistol ;)

actually it isn't that bad...
because really what ends up happening is,

You're ranger, you snipe snipe...give up on the sniper rifle, go to pistol (zoom bug), so you zoom all the way out and use the pistol - which I think is acceptable, then if you live and kill the other guy, then you're set just switch out. If you can't kill him with the pistol, you then decide to switch to another weapon, just use 1 2 3 4 5 instead of scroll wheel.
