  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. Hey I know this is something to be place way down the priority list but I think it would be cool to have the ability to branish 2 pistol at once. Now this would not be an option in RL with 2 DE's, but I have actually done this with 2 Beretta's. Not too accurate with your non shooting hand but it sure is fun! :D Not something you would want to have the INF team stop any work to start on this but it might be a nice feature when you go into "bells and whistles" mode. Just a Shmoo's opinion.

yeah in my heart I would love to see something like that, but it will never happen i INF. its not that kind of game. its like asking Quake 3 Arena to have a AK47 in the next version. its just not gonna happen :)

i'll have to agree with phatcat, really i should do you a favor and delete this thread for you, but i'll leave that up to you, if you start taking a flaming just let me know.

alot of people will get hostile about this sort of thing, inf strives for a level of complete realism, it's aiming at tried and true military tactics, that fact is that if double pistols worked they'd be standard isssue. i really don't care to see them myself, i figure if i want dual pistols i can just go play ut with an enforcer mutator and the old 2.7 skins.

I had been playing online games before some of our fellow INF players were born and in all that time I have learned one thing...This is only a game to be played and enjoyed. If some one flames me it just makes me get a good laugh out of it! I know the true gamers like phatcat will give me honest opinions without trying to make me sound stupid. On that note phatcat, I agree this feature would probably never get in that is why I stated that it might be considered in a "bells and whistle" mode which means that after the product is completed and you go back to add extra unneeded features..which since this is a ever evolving product there is a good chance that there will never be a "bells and whistle" mode... I just thought I would place it on the table for discussion.. Just one Shmoo's opinion.

But if actually implemented I would believe it would be only feasible to make it if you picked up another pistol in the field (which if you read an of my messages on this - guns should only be found on already dead bodies not lying in lonely in the field). I mean if I was down to my pistol and could get another one pistol, since pistol take more shots to kill. I think I would probably like that option. But like I said I only brought it to the table for people to give their honest opinions I believe it is a very low priority feature (were talkin' low)...As for the flamers see my previous message above...

Yeah, its certainly not standard issue, but not unheard of... its justr takes a lot of skill to do it effectively... If the INF team ever think about classes ( I have heard soemthing about that) then they could add that as a skill!

Yes it is possible in theory, but no real soldier would even think about doing it in the field.

If your life is at stake, you do not want to try stuff you've only seen.

You are going to react on the 'instinct' that all that training put into your mind. Since that probably did not include 'dual pistols'-exercise, well ...

they were mentioned in the roadmap, but they are not meant to be classes the way 'Team Fortress Classic' (or something like that) would use.

They simply are different playermodels.
The weapons you put in your loadout and the tactics you decide to use determine what 'class' you are.
It is not something the game forces on you.
