I was thinking about HQ voices that come in?

they had a few in TacOp (not a good mod IMO, but I liked the commnder voice system)

here are my ideas of usage.
1. Win/Loss round
Win : "This is command, your objectices are compleete"

"Team your mission is compleete"

Loss : "This is command, come in strike team, I repeat come in!"

"We have lost contact with strike team, presumed KAI/MIA"

2. Freindly Fire happend
"We are getting reports of freindly fire, watch your targets"

3. Assualt Objective
"Roger that team, Objective compleete/destroyeed"

4. Assualt Objective
"Strike team, we have reports you have lost hold of a objective in your area"

5. CTF
"We have confirmed that a frienldy has the objective, provide escort"

"eyes on, we have confirmed that our objective has been taken"

ALSO on TK.

I really liked how Firearms (I don't take this as me like'n fire arms :mad: ) would boot you after so many team kills with the message

"<your name> was court marshled for Team Killing"

and it happend after like 5 or so team kills. KILLZ not wounds.

Delta Force 2 and Landwarrior have similiar methods of dealling with TK'ers. 3 TK's and you are summarily booted from the server. I think that is one way to deal with the TK'er, the other is to wait for the ability to 'vote off' players and punt the TK'ing bastages. Either way, Inf should get rid of most of them eventually. :cool:

I am the Walrus, koo koo kachoo.
Why do people insist on putting their 'two cents' in when they don't have a penny to spare?

the problem with voting, is that with a system where most of the players must vote to kick, the other team will be reluctant to kick them becasue he helps them, or they just do't care since its not them ("its funny becasue its you")

with a setup with just a few to vote for it, you get a witch hunt! ("she's a TKer! she turned me into a salamander, but I got better")

To kick a TK, maybe you should only require that half (or more) of your team votes to kick him. Anyway, if it's a TK the other team as nothing to say, it's an internal problem.
I would just like to see a system like in FreeSpace 2 : when you attacked friendly targets, the command would declare you renegade and everybody would attack you.

"This is command. Alpha one as turned renagade. I repeat, Alpha one as turned renegade. Fire at will"

yeah, kick should be limited to the team that they are in :)

good idea man. but I like my TK removal idea still ;)

That was Monty Python ? Thought it was Blackadder meself ...

// on-topic :
// HQ-voices :
Some kind of 'commander' telling you stuff after winning/losing a game and such would be great.
If you've played the Chita46-assault mission/map, it looks like the team already is thinking in such a direction ...

It certainly would add to the mood of the game.

// auto-kick after # TK's
I dislike the voting-system for those same reasons.

A voting-system could be abused and you might get players voted off, simply because some people don't like them ...

Or worse if a bunch of TK-ers starts to outnumber the normal players on a server :(

But someone on 'command' telling the team that 'X' has become a 'traitor' (after a set number of TK's) would be poetic justice ... :D

If he continues his team-killing (ie he kills his former 'teammates') then he should be kicked of out of the game (for that round) if he wasn't killed already.

Then if he commits the offence in the next round he'd get kicked of the server for real, with or without the 'traitor'-declaration that round.

This gives them some time to think about what they've done, and newbies won't get killed/kicked immediately if they make an honest mistake.

- Hindsight is always 20/20 -

ehh... I prefeer swift justice for things like that, 5 per connect. and if they want to kill you 4 times and reconnect... that would be rare, and REALLY sad. talk about no life :p
