It's a cool move but don't you then miss one of the most memorable bits in the early part of the game? (the question assumes that I've recognised the place correctly. :))

where you trigger the lights to go off one by one then followed a visit from a sharp-clawed friend. First time I played the game, the approaching darkness was pretty spine-chilling, and then I was dead.:)

Yeah, this doesn't really help speedrunning that much, but is still a neat trick and I found no videos of the trick, so I thought uploading it might be good idea.
