eat a monkey? eat chicken? well, eating a chicken is normal, but im not sure on eating a monkey. wouldn't you get the ebola virus? never in my very dreams would i imagine that this post would become a 2 page thread....

Pardon the late response, but this is the first time I've visiting this forum. I have a different solution to this riddle.

The answer is never, the monkey has a peg leg, how is he gonna kick the seeds from a pickle? This is the only answer I could come to. The part about the chickens has nothing to do with anything. It’s probably there to confuse people. I doubt that the monkey’s peg-leg and the question about kicking is just a coincidence.

It almost seems like I’ve seen this kind of riddle before. But I’m not sure. I don’t come across riddles very often.

It's not really a riddle, it's actually a metaphor for life.

I think the pickle represents Satan and the monkey represents Phil Donahue (sp). It's a epic battle between
Evil and TV ratings and the chicken is society reluctance to conjugate verbs.

My answer: Since the seeds are inside the pickle, you can't kick them off. You can squash the pickle to get the seeds, but then you do not have a pickle but relish instead.
