Speaking of mods, the first handful of player houses are out. People have apparently found ways to make new exteriors and interiors without the creation kit!

1. Dovahkiin Hideout

This one is pretty awesome; it's kinda like Blackreach, in that it has exits and entrances to/from all of the existing player houses.

2. Overlook Tower

This one is cool if you yearn for the Telvanni towers from the Morrowind days. I didn't think much of it except for the standing stones in the main chamber.

Damn horse got killed in a situation where it was not really possible to resurrect it by game save/load. I'd just spent an hour in a crypt and I think either the Imperial traitor or a dragon had killed it some time back while I was inside.

Screw it I'm walking. Since I've visited all the settlements now and a lot of sites across the map fast travel isn't a problem.

The horse was becoming a liability anyway. It would either charge at an enemy and get in the way (and sometimes get killed) or run away when I got off to fight a dragon and then I would spend half an hour walking around in blizzard conditions searching for it.

I did think about a horse armour mod a few days back but it's too late.

Also what's the deal with being able to pick up a horse at the Riften stables and and not be accused of stealing it (although it seems to wander off home as soon as you get off it to storm a fort)?

somewhere; sometime?
the horse was always a liability, all it's good for is travelling slightly faster and climbing impossible cliff faces.
otherwise it just kinda sucks. it attacks enemies you might have been trying to ignore and generally attracts attention when you don't want it.

I enjoy going places on foot anyhow.
probably haven't used the horse for a total of 5 minutes in all the hours I've poured into this game.

Yeah; I got over the horse about five minutes after I found it lying dead in the snow.......

Don't worry, DLC is on it's way.

Oh lawd. I, for one, have never and will never buy any kind of "horse armor" for Skyrim or any other game. Why bother, when the community will eventually make mods that probably do the same thing or something better?

I am interested in an Oblivion Isles style DLC though, which is what Skyrim is supposed to be getting first. I guess time will tell.

I think (hope) that Bethesda learned their lesson on Horse Armor since FO3 and NV didn't have any crap like that.
