Took this picture on the way home from school today. Took a bit time before I got the panning right.

somewhere; sometime?

you ever caught someone in the act?
bonus points, if you do.

I was in Chicago last month for a job interview.
when I got to my hotel room, the first thing I did was throw open the curtains to get a nice view of the city. and almost immediately upon doing so, I notice a guy in the adjacent office building who's about 4 floors below me.

the reason I notice him is because his desk is positioned such that his computer monitor is facing right towards the big window behind him. and instead of showing a white screen like everyone else in the building (checking email, doing work, etc) you can clearly see flesh and skin moving back n forth. he's got a full-on hardcore porno running at work.

he was just sitting there, didn't even appear to be trying to pleasure himself. he's just watching this porn on his large monitor which is open a huge window right behind it. and he's right across the street from a hotel.

people are weird.

 I haven't caught anyone in the act, but wasn't really looking close enough. My desk isn't near a window and I was only outside 10 minutes or so. In London (UK), a hotel we stayed in was right next to an open plan office block with floor to ceiling windows, you could see everything that was going on across 4-5 floors... cleaners, people working late (on youtube).

Brighton is great, there's always lots going on in summer. Did you go on the pier? I love the mini doughnuts coated in brown sugar and cinnamon they sell there :D

Today I had a stroke of luck. A couple of hawks are nesting on the roof and occasionally perch on the railings outside. I saw one land and it flew off, so I opened the door and sat outside for a couple of minutes to see if it would come back:

Yeah, that's a Peregrine Falcon. Nice shots (as usual), kinda surprising he came back, I wouldn't have expected that personally.

Well if they are nesting, it's pretty obvious they will come back, as their home is there. The rest is just patience and staying very still. :D
Very nice pictures!

Hazel.H: The last shot is iconic. I'd love to see some more aggressive photo processing done. It will only help make the shot stand out more. Make that bird Pop!

Thanks Mike :) Does this look any better to you? I seem to have lost some detail in the feathers at the left, will try and fix it tomorrow.

Yeah, I know, I was kicking myself in the head that I didn't move a little to get the seaside into the background instead when I was viewing the pics later. Another lesson learnt, I suppose.

I completely dig happy cheerleaders as much as the next guy.. but you have to be careful about cutting off limbs. I'm not saying you cant cut off limbs, you just have to be careful where and how you do it. Around the joints are a no no.. mid limbs are ok.

They kinda surprised me and I didn't get to line up a better shot. Why are cut-off joints worse than mid-limb amputations though?
