I'll try not to go beyone the subject
1) I'd like to see flashbangs that deafen in addition to blind (the whole 'bang' thing seems to get lost in other implementations).
2) Communication is a big hindrance to team play. Have you considered a text redout that lists when a teammate enters a key area, or even (kinda outta context, but until voice-coms) a map/diagram with these locations labeled and an indicator of who is in which location (or at least if its covered by someone?)
I would assume that this is info that would be routinely broadcast to mates in a real life operation.
3) Would it be possible to have bullet impact smoke particals be generated at a normal to the surface, or even at a random angle within the range of the surface? This would create random impact effects such as smoke streaming down from all sides of a doorway and such, and would basically just look really cool (at least in my mind rather than have smoke disappear through ceiling polys.
Also, I mentioned this in another thread, the blood impacts on players looks really silly to me. Could there be a more subtle effect, maybe a little darker and more misty/transparent... perhaps even just smoke (I don't know how real impacts look but I'm pretty sure it ain't that).
Oh one more note... I love how in CS you get stunned for a moment after being shot... you can still look around and shoot but cant move. I don't know how adrenaline and such affects your reaction in real life, but this is very effective in eliminating sprinting/strafing wars between players, instead having to rely on maintaining good stationary cover.
