Can't even install UT... weird error

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. Im geting a weird error just trying to run setup on the cd rom.

a pic of the error is attached.

PC Specs.

P4 1.4 GHz 256 Ram
40 GB HD
Visiontek GeForce 3 (Detonator is latest 21.??)
Direct X 8a

basic other crap.

any one even seee this before??? Im wondering about a corrupt file. (IE scratched CD)

do a virus scan... scandisk and defrag on the pc it wont work on.... close out all unnecessary progs including your virus scanner then try to install... also try using the autoplay feature on the cd rom :)(for example when ya insert the cd... the menu to install comes up) try that :)

You have to disable/ remove your gravis software temporarily prior to installing UT.
