Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. The point of the friends system is to look at others' profiles and having it tell you that 'The_Numberless has not made any friends'.
I just think it's nice ... I coulda seen myself falling on the cynical side of this, but no, I rather like the icky, squishy 'aww I like you' sentiments flying around
