it's a Skyrim reference.

when you wanted to steal shit in Skyrim without losing karma points or whatever, you would just pick up a crock pot or wooden bucket and throw it onto the head of anyone in the room. that way they couldn't physically SEE you stealing their shit and wouldn't penalize you for it. then his adventures came to an end... when he took an arrow in the knee.

Yeah, I got the arrow reference. Never knew about covering there heads thing though... If it wasn't for the fact that that sounds like exploiting a glitch I might wonder if the Skyrim devs were referencing DSII. It is very likely that most of them played it.
