I like using those good Bows with fire enchantments on them, like 10 fire damage or w/e. Now that i restarted from scratch as a wood elf, can i still put points into enchantment?

Finished the main storylines of Morrowind and Oblivion.

So, going to (finally) install and play the game. Anything I should need to know before playing Skryrim (like differences from Morrowind/Oblivion)? Especially about character creation and effective leveling.

I have played as a Dunmer in Morrowind and Oblivion, and the character worked out well, but I am wondering if being a Nord would be advantageous (as the Nord is indigenous to Skyrim)...

Skyrim isn't much different from Morrowind and Oblivion, but the skill system is quite different. Instead of picking attributes and setting 'tag' skills like in Morrowind and Oblivion (or Fallout 3/NV) you kinda just make a character and go do stuff. Your skills raise as you use them.

As for what race to pick, well, the Nords look down on all variants of Elves, as well as Khajiit and Argonians. Stormcloaks also look down on Imperials, in addition to the previously listed races. But honestly, it doesn't matter; it only really affects dialogue. I rolled a Wood Elf for my Roguelike character and a High Elf for my Mage, and I'm still able to go anywhere and do anything.

Didn't they say a while ago, when the first "Elder Scrolls 5 might have multiplayer" speculations came up that The Elder Scrolls was singleplayer and will remain singleplayer?

Oh well, if it's true, what's one more MMO I won't play. :p

TBH, a coop or limited muliplayer game (perhaps a world with 10 permanent players) would work better than a MMO. Considering how many bugs and glitches are in all Bethesda games (which of course will be exploited by griefers), I feel this will horribly fail when tested.

This. Any sort of multiplayer for ES is not a bad idea at all. Making an ES MMO though? Big mistake.

So BethSoft bragged about their 'game jam', an event after Skyrim retail where the devs went a week solo making cool junk for Skyrim..

Some of these were kill cameras for magic and bow&arrow.

Patch 1.5 just added them.

I am actually starting to like BethSoft again.

For the first time last night I managed to shoot a dragon down with (bow and arrow) while the beast was still in flight.

The crash landing and skid to a halt of the dead beast was quite spectacular and impressive.

Great physics.

It's the same stupid exclusive they've had on every Bethesda game in the last 6 years.

^ this

I remember it happening with Fallout 3 and New Vegas, but I feel it also happened with Oblivion but my memory is fuzzy.

Regardless people don't need to be getting their pussy's in a twist. The game itself would be fine without dlc.
